Eight days of battery logs on a 5,000 mAh mid-ranger

Times, not opinions.

I stopped trusting the number on the box the week my old phone died at four in the afternoon while the icon still showed eighteen percent. So when the replacement arrived — a mid-range unit with a 5,000 mAh cell and a 33 W brick — I kept a log instead of a feeling.

Eight days. Three columns: unplugged, warning, and what I was doing in between.

Six of eight days were ordinary: messages, maps, two hours of video, no games. They ended between 21:40 and 22:50 with roughly twelve percent left. The two weekend days, with video recording and the hotspot on for a laptop, ended at 17:30 and 18:10. The 5,000 mAh is real, and so is the hotspot.

Charging undersells itself. Three percent to full took 71 minutes with the bundled brick, but the useful half — three to fifty-five — took 26. I never plug in from empty on purpose. The body warms around the camera island after twenty minutes, warm enough that I take the case off and stand the phone on the tiles.

Same page, same order, every handset now. The performance side of this phone lives in a separate notebook; those are my game notes. The battery side is the one that decides whether I keep it.
